Port your Phone Number to Avochato
Porting transfers your entire phone number (call routes included) into your Avochato account.
When you port your number, it will no longer work with your previous phone provider. This means that all phone calls and text messages will route exclusively to your Avochato account.
Porting can take up to 2-3 weeks to complete. Within this period, the phone number will still function as is with your current provider but will experience a down time of up to 2 hours on the final day of the port. Ports can take another 2-3 weeks to undo, so be sure that you understand the process and acknowledge this before you begin to port your number.
Once you submit your information, our team will initiate the port with our messaging provider, and provide status updates via email.

Alternatively, if you have a traditional non-VoIP landline and would like to enable texting through Avochato, this can be done much quicker through a process called Hosting. Hosting enables only texting in Avochato, voice routes remain with your original provider.
